Warm Minimalism

Minimalism actually seems to be one of those timeless interior design trends – always in vogue, just with new variations every year.

To get into 2024’s brand of minimalism, we advise going for something well-balanced and on the warm side. Emphasise simplicity and function, of course, but try to make concessions to comfort wherever it makes sense.

The other benefit of this trend is that it keeps things easy to clean and organised, so you should find home maintenance simpler too by adopting it. Go for clutter-free cosiness, in short!

Nature-inspired / Green Living

The nature-inspired trend hasn’t gone out yet and honestly, we’re glad! It has so many boons, after all, including the ability to improve moods through exposure to natural elements like plants and flowers.

Look for nature-inspired elements if you want to join this trend. Think indoor plants, rich earthy tones in furnishings, sustainable materials in decor, and a lot of organic fabrics.

Plan your layouts too for biophilic design, which focuses on establishing clear connections and flow between indoor and outdoor (or natural) elements. Frame areas of rooms with plants, incorporate outside views into your decor planning, and focus on natural light.

And of course, be environmentally conscious. Aim for eco-friendly furnishings, such as reclaimed wood tables and recycled-fabric textiles.

More Curves

This has been a major trend in recent years and really gives a playful flair to your interior design. Use this to add unique shapes to your spaces, which can help add contrast and depth.

A good tip for this is to look for modern furniture with a lot of curves. Also consider going beyond mere furniture shape: upholstery patterns, curved lamps, and rugs with curved designs can all help.

Metallic Accents

Add shine and visual texture to your living space with metallic accents in 2024! They’ve always been effective at making elements pop and adding a little touch of glamour.

Metallic-fabric lamp-shades, decorative metal drawer handles, metallic mirror frames. There are so many options you can go for here. Note that you can easily combine this with some of the other trends we’ve already listed, by the way, such as by choosing warm-hued metals (like bronze and rose gold) for minimalist-furniture accents.

Character-rich Design

Authenticity, character, and personality. These can actually be shown in interior decor, believe it or not – and doing so will be big this year.

Hop onto this current interior design trend by showcasing a living space that epitomises your style as an individual. Look for pieces that tell stories aligned with yours – things like vintage finds, personalised decor, or artisanal work!

For the latter two, in particular, you can even come to us. After all, our rugs are crafted in artisanal style and can be designed to each client’s unique preferences and needs. In other words, we can produce a unique rug that tells your story, imbuing your space with an item as special as it is functional.
